Item Description
A gorgeous, rich violet-red gemmy section is the dramatic highight of this sharp, terminated, textbook, hexgonal red beryl crystal from the Wah Wah Mountains. Most of the crystal is included with typical rhyolite "sand"that gets into these as they grow, but it presents one really nice display angle here, with a fantastic gem corner looking out at you and gemminess looking inside, and it has great shape. Also, it is fat and thick, compared to most - really impressive in size in person !. This is the only place on the planet to find such red crystals. There has been very little recent production from this famous locale. In fact, almost none. And there will never be much more, I would bet. This is a highly representative and desirable crystal from the renowned locale. valued $2000-2500. it is just over 18 carats,
