Item Description
Stellar example of Aragonite stalactites that have converted chemically to Calcite, mixed with a matrix of sulfides. The long, slender stalactites are well-defined, with the surface completely covered by light tan, intergrown crystals. Technically a paramorph (same chemistry before and after), there is also a muted orange fluorescence to the piece. A fine large cabinet specimen from the famous Dalnegorsk area. THis has a nice dramatic style to it! Valued $1000
