Item Description
An impressive large calcite from the famous skarn deposits at Charcas. This sculptural piece is composed of strikingly opposing clusters of classic for the locale large stair-stepped flattened "pokerchip-style" calcite rhombs. The pearlescent, translucent calcite has a pretty cream color with satin lustre faces. The V-shape, like a twinned crystal, with the very sharp frontal faces with the stacked rhombs on top is remarkable. An exceptional, older, uncommon large calcite style from Charcas with pink fluorescence. Ex D.H. Wilson and Harvard Collections. Valued at $1250-1500.
