Botryoidal velvet malachite of this excellent quality is relatively uncommon from the famous and now-closed Tsumeb Mine. The pretty, bi-colored botryoids are richly clustered and stacked, adding a fine 3-dimensional component or are stunningly isolated on the sculptural, sintered matrix, that looks just like a hatchet, when viewed vertically. There is even more malachite on the back of this two-sided rib. Very fine older and rare material from this renowned locale. Seldom available in this size and quality. Valued at $750-800
