The large patches of pure green Variscite are not only impressive, but rare from any locality, and associated tan Crandallite and greyish Wardite A really impressive, rare and desirable specimens for the sheer size, superb consistency of color, fine quality and the fact that it's a large cabinet sized piece. Variscite is known from dozens of localities around the world, but the specimens from Utah are among the finest and most recognizable pieces of the species ever found.

From the collection of the beloved mineral dealer and collector Rock H. Currier (1940-2015). Collection #RHC 4701. The piece was acquired in 1964. Rock was the long-time owner of Jewel Tunnel Imports (named after the large open vugs in basalt in India which were often filled with crystals). Rock travelled the world in search of mineral specimens, and built and impressive collection over his lifetime. He was one of the more colorful and unforgettable figures in the mineral world.
