Item Description
Pretty mint-green lustrous variscite nodules are richly embedded in the chert matrix on this rare polished large sculptural floater nodule from this well-known district, noted for outstanding variscite specimens. Documented specimens attributed to this old phosphate pit are rare. Nodules, such as this, are very uncommon as they are generally broken while extracting them from the chert matrix. A colorful and rare polished Utah floater variscite nodule. Mass is 302 grams. Ex R.D. Mushlitz Collection.
