Item Description

This is actually a rare matrix specimen with bubbly nodules embedded in the host matrix, rare for the locality where most are freefloating nodules by the time they are found. The outgrowths atop are actually crystalline spherical aggregates, more rare for the locality! And they are freestanding and in good shape, making this a subtly important example of this material. Bill says, and from experience I think he is correct, that this is an older specimen from early collecting here.
