Item Description

A classic chrome green Variscite specimen from the well-known occurrence at Goias, Brazil. While Variscites from places like Utah and Arkansas might be more well-known to many collectors, the Brazilian specimens deserve more attention for the fact that they have better color and excellent crystallization! The species is named for the German district of Variscia, which was the medieval name for modern-day Vogtland. The specimen hosts a pair of beautiful spherical groups of Variscite measuring up to 4 mm across sitting beautifully on grey Chalcedony matrix. No damage and TOP color for the species.
