Item Description

A spectacular, polished on both sides, CABINET slab with incredibly intricate and colorful patterns of the green, yellow, gray, white and green phosphates, variscite, crandallite, wardite, englishite and montgomeryite from the famous Utah locality of the Little Green Monster Variscite Mine. This particular slab has striking segmented vertical pods of green variscite. The yellow crandallite and gray wardite separating and surrounding the variscite have exceptional banding. This is the Type Locality for wardite. The fabulous "eyes" consist of white englishite and darker green montgomeryite. The polished faces have been lightly shellacked. This is a rare PRISTINE slice from a large nodule. This is LARGE, OLD-TIME, CHOICE material from this famed locale. Valued $1000-1200 for size and the richness of all the colors. Old material, no longer found like this! Ex Richard Hauck Collection.
