Item Description
Handsome polished slab of a pastel mint green Variscite nodule with concentric outer rinds of gray-green Wardite and yellow brown Crandallite from the famous Little Green Monster Mine in Utah. The backside is unpolished and shows the natural texture and earthy luster of the minerals. These slabs are one of the few polished minerals that are commonly found in collections. The somewhat soft phosphate mineral Variscite is distinctive for the location. The 4.1 cm Variscite nodule also contains a couple of millimeter sized Wardite bullseyes. From the former collections of H.D. Miller, Dick Hauck and Rock Currier. Superb specimen, valued at $600 when Rock's collection was sold off. Donated to the MINDAT auction by The Currier Collection and Jewel Tunnel Imports.
