Variscite (beautiful color)

A classic and hard to find specimen of Variscite from the Henry de Linde #3 Mine in Avant, Arkansas. While the famous old Variscites from Fairfield, Utah are some of the most beloved and iconic examples of the species from any U.S. locality, I honestly prefer the color of the Arkansas material, as it's more vibrant that most pieces form Utah. Additionally, unlike the Fairfield specimens, the Variscites from Avant are at least crystalline, and not massive, which can clearly be seen on this piece, as it's covered with a micro druse of brilliant bluish-green Variscite on chert matrix. It's hard to find good displayable cabinet sized pieces of this material, and this is the only piece we have from Avant to offer in the auctions, so don't miss out.
