Item Description
Glorious emerald-green to yellow-green color on this beautiful, 2.0 cm, gemmy, very glassy, lustrous, trigonal dravite tourmaline from a NEW find at this less well-known mine in Tanzania near the famous Tanzanite mines in the Merelani Hills. The terminated crystal is exquisitely set on the contrasting shard of calcite. Vanadium causes the green color. A RARE and very fine matrix example from the locale.
