Vanadinite with Calcite (Urish Coll.)

Item Description

Beautiful, lustrous and translucent, unusually etched, burnt-orange to yellow vanadinite crystals dramatically and richly rise up like spines of a lionfish from the sparkly, calcite-covered matrix from this obscure small Arizona locality. The largest crystals, to 7 mm, are hoppered. Characteristic, but unusual in style, with the etching, but uncommon from this locale in this quality. Ex Harold Urish Collection and purchased in 1994.
