Item Description

An aesthetic and superb miniature from the classic, but now hard to obtain, source of the San Carlos Mine of Chihuahua, Mexico. Striking enechelon clusters of lustrous, translucent, honey-brown, textbook hexagonal, vanadinite prisms to 1.3 cm are attractively accented with glassy, colorless calcite rhombs on the backside. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine. This is a RARE (especially the calcite), combination specimen in this quality and crystal form. These came out in the 1960s and 70s, with none since. Ex Belsky Collection. Valued at $400-500.
