Item Description

Gallagher mine was a small locality in Arizona with spotty mineralization that produced between 1929-1953. While not much came from the locality of note, some strange, possible arsenic-bearing vanadinites were found. This is a rich small cabinet sized specimen densely packed with small, elongated vanadinite crystals. An old label states there is brackebuschite on the specimen, but this is not validated. Ex. Rock Currier whose notes state: "A specimen of frothy micro arborescent tan vanadinite crystals. Got the specimen from Tony Jones who scrounged it from some drawers full of old specimens that George Burnham had in his back room." Very rare! Rock Currier Collection
