Vanadinite with Baryte

This specimen is not just another vanadinite...it is the classic old 'coke can red on white' style, which I grew up with and treasured as the best of the time (in the 1980s). Although thousands of vanadinite specimens have come out since, in all shapes and sizes and with bigger crystals, there is still a special aesthetic and power to these seemingly delicate, ethereal specimens with sharp red crystals on curving white blades of baryte. To me, among all finds, this remains a recognizable and unique, and therefore highly collectible, style of vanadinite. It is curvy, pretty, and sparkly all around. It comes form a prior collection with a dealer label showing $2500 was paid for it...which it might not get here, but just to say that, in person, at least two somebodies thought it quite special. Lastly, it is sturdy and does not have the fragility problem of so many vanadinites.
