Item Description
Scintillating, translucent rich red to burnt-orange hexagonal vanadinite prisms, to 5 mm, are dramatically festooned on three sides of the sculptural large gossan matrix. Drusy calcite is a fine contrasting complement and typical accessory. The mine is located near the famed Red Cloud Mine and is on the same fault trend. The piece was collected in 1991 according to an accompanying label. The mine was still the North Geronimo and was not renamed the Pure Potential until 1994.
