Two generations of scintillating vanadinite prisms cover this beautiful, excellent and rich hand-sized specimen from the 1970s finds at this noted locale. Gorgeous, larger, cherry-red barrels to about 5 mm are concentrated in the center and in clusters along the crest (some with yellow tips) and scattered elsewhere on the undulating blanket of smaller, burnt-orange prisms. Smaller vanadinites cover the sharp, 2.0 cm, calcite rhomb on the lower left. Drusy calcite is richly noted on the back of the piece. Classic and fine material.
