Vanadinite (superb quality)

The phenomenal Vanadinite specimens from Mibladen are the pinnacle for the species. Of all the crystallized Vanadinite in the world, we haven't seen anything better for the last 50 years from anywhere else in the world. It's important to note that were it not for these specimens, Vanadinite would not be terribly well represented in the mineral world in terms of crystallized display pieces. This gorgeous small miniature sized specimen features superb quality, rich red color, sharp, lustrous, thick tabular crystals of deep red Vanadinite measuring up to 2.1 cm across aesthetically sitting on a small amount of almost stalactitic black (Psilomelane) matrix. Looking closely I can't find any real damage of note to the crystals, though there is a tiny bit of roughness on the lower portion of the matrix, where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. Although there are many Vanadinite specimens on the market from Mibladen, this one stands out in terms of superior crystallization, displayability and virtually no damage of note. An excellent quality Vanadinite specimen from this world-famous locale. Priced at $1,200 in the inventory.
