An impressive, rich and sculptural small cabinet vanadinite from famed Mibladen, easily the source of the world's finest examples of the species. The striking densely intergrown mounded specimen is composed of beautiful, glassy, lustrous and translucent, stout textbook hexagonal, brick-red prisms, highlighted by the imposing 2.5 cm crystal at the crest. Bright light reveals gorgeous areas of yellow-orange fire, adding allure and color. Complete all-around and pristine, the crystals on the back have an oxide coating typical of specimens from this particular find. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020.
