Item Description

Here we have a fine quality, very hard to find, three-dimensional display specimen features pseudomorphs of arsenic-bearing Vanadinite replacing Wulfenite from the lesser-known Aurora Mine in Chihuahua, Mexico. The piece is loaded with eye-catching, drusy, sparkling brown crystals of what used to be called "Endlichite" which are replacing blocky, pseudo-cubic Wulfenite crystals measuring up to 8 mm on matrix. . No major damage, fine quality to be sure, and the piece even sits on its own without the aid of a base or clay! These are rare and highly prized by Mexican mineral collectors along with pseudomorph collectors. Valued at $1,000 in the inventory. These are RARE, both from the locality and in nature in general. This is old material, dating back to the 1960s, and will almost certainly never be seen again. From the prestigious pseudomorph collection of Dr. Wouter van Tichelen of Belgium, with additional labels from the collection of Ann Williams, and another stating it was part of the collection of Ron Pellar as well.
