Vanadinite on Goethite (Urish Coll.)

Discrete, beautiful, gemmy and lustrous, bi-colored, vanadinite barrels and prisms are aesthetically scattered on the mounded matrix of matte, botryoidal goethite on this excellent specimen from the early 1980s finds at Taouz. Taouz vanadinites from this find are much rarer compared to the prolific finds at Mibladen. The crystals, up to 8 mm, have gorgeous color ranging from bright cherry-red to flashy, yellow-orange. The gemminess and rich color of these vannies is exceptional for the find. Ex Harold Urish Collection.
