Vanadinites to 1.2 cm, on Goethite, highlight this beautiful small-cabinet specimen from Mibladen, one of the world's premier localities for the species. Brilliant color and luster make the piece jump out at you visually, and the very good translucence - gemmy along the edges, coupled with an almost mirror-like luster, helps create a virtual orange-red explosion of color. The contrast between the Vanadinite and the Goethite make the flashes of color even more dramatic. The hexagonal, tabular habit is absolutely classic, and adds to the appealing aesthetic.
