Item Description

An excellent, CABINET plate from the classic, but now hard to obtain, source of the San Carlos Mine of Chihuahua, Mexico. Diverging sprays of lustrous, translucent, honey-brown, textbook hexagonal, vanadinite prisms to about 4 mm are attractively peppered on the undulating matrix of lustrous, translucent, hematite-tinted calcite rhombs. This is a RARE (especially the calcite), large combination specimen in this quality and crystal form. These came out in the 1960s and 70s, with none since. Ex Zukowski Collection. Valued at $400-500.
