Classic vanadinite from the 1980s, with the coke can red color crystals perched on bladed white baryte! This is still, to this day, a memorable find. The sharp white baryte blades act as the best possible contrast and perch for sharp vanadinite crystals (to 1.3 cm). Stark and isolated, this style has lived in memory and is still very seldom seen on the market. Some very few pockets since the 1980s have yielded similar styles, usually with the vanadinite having a trace of brown tint; but they remain rare in a world full of a huge production of plain red vanadinite clusters of various sorts - and always highly desired among collectors. Once you see this contrast, you cannot unsee it!
