Vanadinite on Baryte

This is an exquisite Vanadinite on Baryte small cabinet piece from the classic "Coke Can Red " finds of the 1980s at Midladen that really stands out from the plethora of lesser specimens that have been coming out of Morocco for decades. The Vanadinite cluster consists of at least two dozen, rich, dark red crystals crystals to just over 1 cm highlighted by a single thick crystal of 3 cm (just over an inch!). They are super lustrous, show wonderful color and are mostly standing on edge so that the specimen displays beautifully from any number of angles. Some of the crystals show subtle hopper growth for added interest. The crystals are set on a matrix of beautifully contrasting off-white Baryte blades (a classic of the 1980s, not often repeated in style). This is the most desireable Vanadinite combination that has ever been produced from Morocco and it is a well composed large miniature specimen. This is NOT another common modern vanadinite - it really is quite special, particularly in person.
