A very aesthetic, pristine, 360-degree, vanadinite on barite miniature plate from Mibladen. The upright, on-edge, gemmy, tabular, brick-red, vannies are beauifully accented by smaller crystals and a rich dusting of tiny snow-white aragonite crystals. Aragonite on vanadinite combinations are RARE from Mibladen and this is an outstanding example. The underlying matrix is classic white bladed barite. All the gemmy crystals have brilliant flashes of yellow-orange. Excellent quality all the way around and the composition is outstanding. These specimens deserve more attention for being some of the most impressive representations of the species extant. From the major early 1990s finds. Valued at $500-700, for aesthetics, excellent gemmy quality of the crystals and rare aragonite associaton. Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $100, for free.
