Item Description

Moroccan Vanadinites simply are the finest examples of the species extant. The best pieces still command a premium on the market, even though specimens are still being found to this day. This older piece from this Rich Kosnar collection features excellent red, sharp, lustrous, thick, tabular crystals which are aesthetically sitting atop bladed white Barite matrix. The largest Vanadinite crystal measures 1.0 cm across, and virtually all of the crystals are undamaged. A great quality Vanadinite miniature from this famous locality which was mined in 1976, and came from the late French mineral dealer, Christian Gobin to Kosnar. The form and aesthetics make it a very eye-catching piece of this well known material. Valued at $1500 for quality, size and the fact that it came out of the ground 35 years ago!
