Vanadinite on Barite

A beautiful classic Vanadinite specimen consisting of sparkling, red-orange color tabular hexagonal crystals, sitting on a lovely mound of white bladed Barite. Good quality all the way around. It's almost a "floater" as it has crystallization on the underside and I really can't see a true point of attachment. These specimens from Taouz are not terribly common these days, and they deserve more attention for being some of the most impressive for the species extant. Priced at $450 retail by the previous dealer.
