Vanadinite (older style)

Item Description

Fine cluster of rich, orange-red Vanadinites on matrix, from Morocco. The largest crystal is 1.3 cm across, and the Vanadinites can reach nearly 1 cm thick. The luster is good, and there is no denying that the aesthetics of each crystal, as well as the overall specimen, are very good. From the extensive collection of Bob Reynolds, who cherished both minerals and fossils as he collected. Bob is a prolific author and has had several curating positions in museums. Note this is older, more rare material from Taouz, not the more common and recent vanadinite from the Mibladen area.
