Item Description

A massive, large specimen with LOTS OF COVERAGE, AND quality, BOTH. This specimen is a rare larger plate from the recent find of unusually robust vanadinite crystals. It has dozens, nicely perched on contrasting matrix. Note how many crystals show unusual flashes of orange and yellow highlights on their edges, and have outstanding glassy luster. The rear of the crystals is coated by a powdery second generation coating, which only serves to dramatically enhance the edges showing towards the display face. Despite the size, this piece is nearly pristine with just a few small broken xls on the bare periphery. It is a mesmerizing and colorful large piece with structure, form, geometry, color...you name it. The more I look at it, and realize it also shows well vertically, the more crazy I think I am for risking it at auction. I would have PAID several grand for this myself, if I hadn't bought it en masse when I bought the whole pocket it came in. Valued $4-5000 and in person, you will clearly see that.
