There is no doubt that the Vanadinite specimens from the Mibladen District in Morocco are world-class and the pinnacle for the species. I think it's safe to say that when someone mentions Vanadinite, most people conjure an image of a specimen from Mibladen in their minds. It's fair to say that without the Mibladen specimens, Vanadinite would be rather under-represented in the mineral world. Of all the crystallized Vanadinite that has been found elsewhere, we haven't seen anything better for the last 50 years from anywhere outside of Mibladen. This gorgeous small acbinet specimen features incredibly lustrous, rich red color, sharp, fairly thick, hexagonal crystals measuring up to 1.1 cm, sitting on matrix. One side of the specimen has a coating of tan pocket clay. Looking closely I can't find any major damage of note to the main crystals, maybe just a few TINY nicks. A great quality Vanadinite specimen from this world-famous locale. Valued $1,500.
