Vanadinite (fine crystals)

The phenomenal Vanadinite specimens from Mibladen are the pinnacle for the species. Of all the crystallized Vanadinite in the world, we haven't seen anything better for the last 50 years from any other locality. It's important to note that were it not for these specimens, Vanadinite would not be terribly well represented in the mineral world in terms of crystallized display pieces. This gorgeous large thumbnail / toenail sized specimen features fine quality, beautiful red color, sharp, lustrous crystals, free of matrix. The piece is fully crystallized on all sides, and shows a captivating mixture of smooth, well-formed tabular hexagonal crystals and beautiful skeletal / "hoppered" growths. Looking closely I can't find any major damage of note, but I can see some tiny imperfections with a loupe, and obviously there is a small contact on the base where it detached from the pocket wall. Robust crystal groups like this are certainly not nearly as common to find on the market as they have been in years pat, and as I said before, the best Vanadinites in the world undoubtedly come from Mibladen. A great quality Vanadinite specimen from this world-famous locale.
