Vanadinite is a species that is largely tied to a solitary world locality. Certainly, the phenomenal Vanadinite specimens from Mibladen are the pinnacle for the species. Of all the crystallized Vanadinite in the world, we haven't seen anything better for the last 50 years from anywhere else in the world. It's important to note that were it not for these specimens, Vanadinite would not be terribly well represented in the mineral world in terms of crystallized display pieces. This gorgeous thumbnail specimen is a fine quality, rich red color, sharp, thick, lustrous hexagonal crystal group free of matrix. The piece is a complete "floater" fully crystallized on all sides, and shows a captivating mixture of smooth, well-formed faces and beautiful skeletal / "hoppered" growths. I can't find any damage of note. A great quality Vanadinite specimen from this world-famous locale.
