Vanadinite (excellent crystals)

Without question, the finest examples of Vanadinite ever found are those from Mibladen, Morocco. As a matter of fact, without the specimens from Morocco, Vanadinite would not even be terribly well-represented as a species. This piece is a fine quality example of these excellent specimens featuring many highly lustrous, sharp, well-formed, thick hexagonal crystals of a rich red hue measuring up to 1.8 cm across aesthetically sitting on matrix. There are a few dings, so the piece is not 100% pristine, but were it perfect, I would put a value on it around $3,000-$4,000, but it's less with the damage. There are few minerals in the world which are singularly tied to single locality both in terms of quantity and quality like the Vanadinites from Mibladen.
