Item Description

Moroccan Vanadinites simply are the finest examples of the species extant. This piece is from the 1980's when some of the caramel colored specimens were on the market. This piece features good quality, caramel colored, sharp, rather lustrous, prismatic / "stubby", hexagonal crystals forming an attractive thumbnail. The largest crystal measures up to 1.0 cm. From the collection of noted Colorado geologist, Allen Heyl, for whom the Turquoise group mineral Aheylite was named.
