For several decades, the world-class Vanadinites from Mibladen, Morocco have remained the pinnacle for the species. Sometimes a specific species can be almost exclusively tied to a single world locality, and you could make a strong case for Vanadinites from Mibladen. It's amazing to think that out of all the crystallized Vanadinite specimens in the world, we haven't seen anything better for the last 50 years from any other locality. It's important to note that were it not for these specimens, Vanadinite would not be terribly well represented in the mineral world in terms of crystallized display pieces. This attractive specimen features fine quality, beautiful orange-red color (with some tan hues on the back due to pocket clay inclusions), sharp, lustrous hexagonal crystals on matrix. The piece is crystallized on both sides. The largest crystal measures about 7 mm. Looking closely I can't find any major damage of note, but I can see some tiny imperfections with a loupe. A great quality Vanadinite specimen from this world-famous locale.
