Item Description

Apache Mine (aka Defiance Mine) vanadinites are rarely available today in this impressive, LARGE CABINET size. This striking piece is very richly covered with the typically smallish, very lustrous, deep brick-red color to smaller, orangey, hexagonal prisms. The curved banded aspect of the different sized and colored vanny crystals is a super aspect to this fine piece. Most Apache Mine specimens you see these days are not only smaller, but the vanadinite looks more like a druse - so this is quite impressive. The rhyolite matrix base has been sawed to enhance the display quality. Ex James Webb Collection.
