Vanadinite (As-bearing) on Wulfenite (Reynolds Coll.)

Blocky Wulfenite cubes covered with brown Vanadinite variety Endlichite crystals, to 2.1 cm (at the top), course down the spine and one side of this sculptural and impressive large flattened older 3-sided specimen from famed Los Lamentos. The striking isolated crystal cluster on one side, 3.1 cm, adds much character and aesthetics to the piece. Scattered bruised cubes reveal the classic lustrous rich butterscotch color of the wulfies (so it is not pristine, but the slight damages are not visually very bad, either). The underlying white matrix is a nice contrast and typical accessory. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. A highly representative and showy large combination material of the species and well-known locale. Classic older material of this style from the 1960s to 1980s finds, you seldom see them in this size!
