Sculptural plate with larger primary hexagonal crystals of a highly lustrous burnt orange Vanadinite with smaller secondary yellow-green Vanadinite crystals and clear Calcite rhombs, of an old style from the 1960s or earlier and which we rarely see today. The main crystals, up to 9 mm, have flat terminations with a number of crystals being double terminated. There are several growth features including stepped growth as well as some minor hoppered crystals. The piece has nice isolated vertical sections providing for a three dimensional display with engaging textures. The piece is in great condition with the main crystals complete and terminated. The sparkle from the contrasting colorless Calcites just adds to the overall brilliance and balance of the piece. An attractive Mexican Apex Mine Vanadinite with an aesthetic display highlighted by distinguishable crystals with beautiful color and exceptional luster.
