Item Description
This is one of the richest reds I have ever seen in a Vanadinite. The blades of Vanadinite, which rest on bladed Barite, are well-formed and zoned! The cores are translucent to gemmy, and the outer zones are a fetching cherry-red. The largest of the baldes is about 1 cm across. Accenting many of the Vanadinites is little puffs of snow-white, anhedral Barite. The accent this Barite provides is killer. This piece would be priced considerably higher were it not for the fact that a number of the Vanadinites has been broken off at one time - along the top and to the right of the cluster. However, the color is so good, and contrast interesting, that rather than donate it someone deserves the chance to get such a visually striking example for a great bargain (with the damage, it should be valued under $75, please).
