Item Description

A classic example of what are the finest Vanadinite specimens in the world. Mibladen for decades has consistently produced these impressive specimens, featuring excellent big red crystals on matrix. This piece is filled with sharp, lustrous, rich red color, tabular hexagonal crystals measuring up to 1.8 cm across, sitting on matrix. Overall the piece is in good shape, but there are some small nicks and contacts here and there, so it's not 100% damage-free. From the collection of Vasco Trancoso, a medical doctor and prominent mineral collector from near Lisbon, Portugal (https://www.mindat.org/user-11954.html). He assembled his mineral collection over the course of 60 years, and built a fine worldwide display collection that we recently purchased.
