Thick, textbook hexagonal vanadinite prisms command the top of this rich, showy and sculptural mounded small cabinet from famed Mibladen. The two large crystals are 1.9 and 1.8 cm. The highly lustrous, partially translucent prisms are brick-red with reddish-orange areas under normal light. BUT - have rich, warm reddish-orange color, when backlit. Preferential iron oxide-tinting is typical with specimens from this particular find. The large crystals at the crest are pristine and the noted bruising to smaller crystals at the base is certainly only a modest detraction to this aesthetic 360-degree piece. Classic, rich and aesthetic Mibladen vanadinite of this varietal. From 2008 finds.
