Item Description
Very glassy, highly lustrous, translucent, rich orange-red parallel-growth vanadinite prisms in a dramatic cogwheel-look from famed Mibladen. The tabular hexagonal crystals have different shapes, which adds to the overall striking aesthetics and architecture of this fine miniature. The large crystal on the end is an impressive 2.6 cm across and flashes of golden-orange color add character. See the 2013 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 44, No. 3. The world's finest vanadinites easilty come from Mibladen and this is an excellent example of this varietal. Probably an older specimen, given subtleties of style.
