Several generations of lustrous, translucent, rich red vanadinite prisms are festooned on this aesthetic and sculptural two-sided small cabinet plate from recent finds at famed Mibladen, source of the world's finest vanadinite specimens. One end hosts a striking cluster of intergrown blocky to tabular prisms. The large gemmy blocky prism with yellow-orange gemmy highlights is 9 mm. A freestanding, upright, sharp, tabular hexagonal 9 mm prism dominates one edge and the dense clustering of smaller vannies adds richness and character to the starkly contrasting manganese oxide-coated barite matrix. Classic, excellent and rich vanadinite of this varietal from Mibladen.
