Item Description

Classic, lustrous and translucent, rich brick-red, tabular hexagonal vanadinite prisms, to 1.1 cm, are dramatically and richly clustered on both sides of the blocky matrix. I particularly like the way the larger crystals are set along the skyline of this piece. Only a few of the crystals have the iron oxide coatings common to the locale. One large crystal has a very gently bruised corner and only one broken crystal is noted in the interior of the front of this showy, rich and highly representative example of the species and famous locale. These are certainly modest detractions to this excellent specimen.
