Item Description
Lustrous, brick-red, hexagonal, vanadinite prisms are very richly and attractively strewn on the sturdy gossan matrix. The large crystal is 1.3 cm. Many of the vannies have gemmy areas and some of the crystals have an orangey-brown flash on some faces. Some of the vannies have a preferential coating of brown material on one one side of the specimen, but can be strongly minimized by rotating the piece, as you can see in the photos. Only one of the large vannies is dinged on the primary display view and is certainly not much of a detraction. A couple areas of bruised smaller crystals are on the back side and are out-of-sight. Highly representative of the species and recent find.
