While vanadinite is of course rather common, and comes out in thousands of pieces every 5-10 years to flood the collector market, still there are styles and styles, some we like more than others. And of course, each pocket starts at a high price and then we reach saturation and things start to go more reasonably...in this case, even at auction! Each pocket is different in some aspects and this is a classic older style from the 2009 find, noted for its thick, robust crystals; a large display sized, museum sized specimen; and with crystals to 1.7 cm in size. It is simply sparkly and beautiful, with the abundant crystals having such a nice Coke can red color! A large, showy plate of high quality, previously valued $5000-plus.
