Item Description
Remarkable cogwheel form on the tabular to blocky, hexagonal vanadinite prisms that dramatically stud this impressive large Mibladen specimen from a 2008 find. The classic brick-red, translucent crystals have matte luster faces. The striking large prisms reach 3.8 cm long. The back sides of the crystals have iron oxide coatings, typical of specimens from this find. The piece is nearly solid vanadinite. The primary crystals are in great shape, with periphery wear and some bruising/contacting noted. 1874 grams or 4.1 pounds mass. This remains a rich, very showy and sculptural large highly representative example of this varietal from the world's finest locality for vanadinite.
