Exotic looking 360-degree vanadinite small cabinet from a major 2001 pocket find at Mibladen, easily the world's finest locality for the species. The striking piece consists of parallel-growth clusters of increasing in size, tabular, hexagonal crystals. The two distinctive, flattened basal pinacoid sides have a sculptural parquet pattern - one side is a beautiful, lustrous, rich cherry-red and the other has frosted faces. The stunning prism faces on either side have surreal skeletal features with yellow-orange translucence and resemble fantastic variably-sized cogwheels! Complete all-around, essentially pristine and nearly a floater, with only the small attachment at the narrow end. See the fine 2013 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 44, No. 3.
